1400-Arrived at my sister's place. Good weather on the road and no issues.
1500-Had pizza at my sister's and followed that with some ice cream while we visited.
2020-Back to the boat after a long visit and finally to bed after a long day.
Road Travel Day 2 - Thursday
0600-Early wakeup to visit with sister Mary before I meet my friends for breakfast at the Country Kitchen. Whenever I'm in town I try to meet up with these friends I grew up with. We've been friends since grade school and made a 10 day canoe trip in the Boundary Waters back in 1964 before we could even drive.
To pay for that canoe trip we skid a train car load of tamarack from a swamp in winter using a team of horses. The earnings were enough to pay our way but family had to drive us up to Ely and pick us up again. Quite the adventure!
0900-Breakfast with the guys.
