Mosquitoes are terrible!

1130-Dishes finished. Mosquitoes still swarm on the bow, the stern not so much.

I will let the sun chase the mosquitoes back into the woods before splitting firewood for tonight. 68F/70F.

1345-Sat on the aft deck enjoying the view and sipped some white wine taking the occasional photo and video.

View From Aft Deck Looking NW

Will go try to split some firewood. I'm hoping the mosquitoes took refuge in the woods since the sun is now more overhead.

1415-Got back to the boat after splitting firewood and collecting kindling.

Mergansers Feeding

1445-Trimmed my beard so I don't look to straggly in the videos.

1535-Took a short nap. Will begin dinner prep. I left a jar of chili home by mistake so my dinner will now be an omelet.

Omelet Dinner

1700-Finished dinner, which was good. Unfortunately, I discovered I forgot raspberry jelly for the toast! The new fry pan works great! I took out strawberries to thaw as a topping for my ice cream dessert.

2015-An ice cream dessert was the perfect choice on this very warm day.

Sat on the aft deck and drank a glass of red wine while listening to my audio book by Nick Petrie "The Breaker".

Decided to go light the fire while the sun was up. Since mosquitoes were so bad it turned out to be a flop! Too hot with the sun and fire. Decided to ditch the idea and return to the boat to find some shade. Temps now 75F out and 71F in. It actually warmed up this evening. Tomorrow will be hot. I need to hit the trail early in the morning while it is cooler.

2040-Decided to have a Baileys on ice given the warm evening. I even put on shorts and a short sleeve shirt which I only do when it is very hot. I have to stay in the shade because I get sun poisoning very easily, especially on my arms.
