Using A Big Boulder For Tie Point - No Trees Close By
1100-Tied up at a non-designated site after traveling 4.4 miles. Kind of a large bare rock area on a small island. Had to use boulders to tie off since no trees were close enough.

Surveyed the site for firewood and there is plenty but no fire ring, just a rock fire pit. I need to cut and split some firewood.

Looking NE - Vulnerable To Winds From There
May not hike today since it is much warmer. 67F/67F. Will try to hike tomorrow morning and cut firewood today after I do dishes. Weather is great. There is a light NE breeze and it is sunny and warm.
1340-Transferred video and pics to my portable HD, then charged up the laptop battery.
Walked the area with the Osmo Mobile 6. Wind is persisting out to the NE but relatively light.

1450-Cut down a tree that was only part way down. It was hung up in another tree. I got it down and cut four pieces and split them for a fire tonight. Worked up a sweat. Warm! 69F/69F.
Another fisherman went by with max wake. I even pointed to their wake. No response! Their heads were in the fog!
1500-Took off in the dinghy and went over to the dock to examine tie up considerations while I'm on the hike tomorrow. Afterward I proceeded along the south shore about a mile east to a campsite then around that island and back. Traveled 3.2 miles. Averaged 2.8 mph. Used 25% of the battery.

Otter Checking Me Out
I'm tired and my ears are sunburned. I will enjoy my shoreside perch later in the evening and have a wood camp fire.
2030-Sat ashore for an hour or so before starting the fire. Just enjoyed the peaceful setting.

Just Started Evening Fire
Listened to my audiobook for a while then started the fire. It was a fairly open fire pit and did not hold the heat well. The wood did not burn well either. Decided to return to the boat since the fire petered out and I was out of firewood.
Will read my e-book and hit the sack.
